Music Appreciation: (taught by Linda Chacholiades)
An introductory study of different styles of music including, classical, jazz and world music and instruments used. No prior musical experience necessary.
Music Fundamentals: (taught by Linda Chacholiades)
For the student who has started the study of a musical instrument. This course will reinforce the beginning strategies of reading and writing elementary music.

Group Guitar: (taught by Mike Krajewski)
Group I - Ages 9-12
Group II - Ages 13-16
Student will learn how to play the guitar in a group setting. Classes will be based on Mike’s book The Complete Beginning Guitarist. Students will learn Chords, Note Reading, Technique, and Songs.
No prior experience required.
Music Theory : (taught by Mike Krajewski or Linda Chacholiades)
This course is designed to help further a student’s knowledge of basic music fundamentals and to begin understanding more details of harmonic structure.
(Scales, key signatures, basic chord structure, and continued rhythmic study)
Music History I & II: (taught by Linda Chacholiades)
A study of musical periods: Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th Century and significant composers and genres of these periods.
Electronic Music/Recording:(taught by Mike Krajewski)
This course is designed to introduce Midi and Audio recording in a computer environment. Using the software Sonar, students will build their own songs using "loops" and the keyboard.
Basic computer skills required. No prior music training necessary.
